Chapter 15: Where have you been?

Why hello there. Not like anyone reads this thing anyway haha but it has been a hot minute since I made an appearance on my own blog.

Soooo here come some updates.

I actually became a police officer (: Pretty much everyone who has ever supported my dream was able to make it to my swearing in. It has been such a fun experience so far. I wouldn't change the path I have taken in my career. First a Dispatcher now a Protective Services Officer. There is nothing like the love and support of family and friends, especially in law enforcement. I would have never gotten here with out them. At 22 my life is just beginning again and I am in love with every minute of it. Work?? What is work? I do what I love (:

My parents were able to pin my badge on. What a special experience I am so blessed to have such amazing parents.

Best friends since high school. They have always been there through thick and thin. They have never doubted me and have ALWAYS been a huge support. Thanks lovely ladies!

My big brothers from other mothers. My best friends since 2008. It was so special to have them there.

2 of my heroes. Officer Lambert of SLCPD and my big brother Paul Dispatcher for SLCPD. They are some of the most stand up men I know.

This is Athena.. we were dispatchers together, went to the police academy at the same time.. and we got hired together. I love her with my whole heart. She is a bad ass.

My best friend for the last 10 plus years. She and her hubby are some of the most incredible individuals I know. I love them so much - my CK Sista (:

This is my rice bowl. A fellow dispatcher & best friend. I love my ladies in law enforcement. They are the best! (we are her dispatch bunnies)

I had the awesome opportunity and chance of a life time to go with some good family friends to Las Vegas to go look at jewels and gems for the JCK jewelry show. I also was able to attend a private showing by the legendary Adam Levine.. you guessed it Maroon 5. What a fun girls trip! Although we did get a speeding ticket on the way down to Nevada it was a great break from real life. Mandalay Bay sure knows how to throw a fun private concert event and the venue was AMAZING! I highly recommend going to The Beach you will not be disappointed in that concert experience.

They are beautiful I know.

I became an Auntie this year (: YAY she is beautiful.. literally not even a bias opinion -- she is going to be the reason for a shot gun at the door and grey hairs!

Oh and the nursery -- so cute!  My sister in-law is amazing!!

Guess who came to Salt Lake.. Ludacris WHAAA?? It was epic.

Chapter 14: Catching Up....

Well its been a while since I updated my Blog its probably time (:

In the last couple months a lot has changed. I quit my 8to5 day job & went back to dispatch for the Unified Police Department.. what can I say I definitely missed the job. I have been working the graveyard shift, its been fun & challenging. The action at night time & having it be summer has made the criminals come out of the wood works! Graveyards really is a busy busy shift which makes it really exciting. Working at night & sleeping during the day can get pretty lonely especially on your days off. Thankfully I have a lot of friends who work graves & we are able to relate to eachother having the same odd shift.

Both of my best friends got engaged in the last month on the same day April 25th 2012 (:

Cant tell you how absolutely excited and over joyed I am that they both have found amazing & worthy men to spend the rest of eternity with! Both Dallyn & Levi are the most outstanding men, I have come to know & I love them dearly! I know both of these ladies are in very good hands (:

I am almost 21 (:

I know that usually means you can drink & party now but for me it means I can almost be start on my way to becoming a police officer and going to the police academy! Yay!

We are taking a girls Vegas trip in July I cant even wait!

I have been trying to figure out what I can do in the form of service with my crazy schedule. & I think starting with being better at my church calling is going to be #1 on that list.

I have been training my booty off at the gym every day & making it a habit to RUN.. thats right RUN. I hate it so much! lol! It has been soo overwhelmingly awesome to jump through challenges & going further & further everyday (:

Mind over matter.. I know they say it all the time.. but its really true! 

Today when I was at the gym, a woman who is always at the gym the same time I am came up to me & told me that even though we are our hardest critics that she has watched me work really hard & that I have a cute little body. WOW really??! That is the most awesome thing coming from some one who works just as hard as I do! I was speechless! I have got my courage up & have teamed up with a photographer, Anthony Angelos, to take photos of my progress & body morphing.

(Photos are really good for making you want to do better & look better! This photoshoot gave me tons of motivation & put a fire under my but to get up & work out continuously! Never giving up!)

Chapter 13: Being Humbled....

Humbled: Lower (someone) in dignity or importance

This year has brought a lot of joy & challenges. I am so thankful for it. A couple weeks ago my best friend was baptized & it was honestly incredible. She is honestly the most humble and selfless person I know & when times get tough she will always say with a smile on her face..

 "Just give it to God, it will all work out"

 

Man we have grown up in the last 8 years haha

Liz is so full of love and compassion for others. I dont know what I would do with out her.  I am so glad she has met one of the most incredible men I know & has made friends with awesome people (:

Levi you're the bomb & I have nothing but love & respect for you - You are honestly a saint, thank you for taking care of Liz & also welcoming me into your circle of friends.

I have had an opportunity to test for Tempe Police Department - what an awesome experience! Although I didn't make the cut, I learned so much. I know exactly what my weaknesses are & what I will be working on so that I can keep bettering my self to obtain my dreams.

I was very very lucky & had a support system drive all the way to Arizona with me, stay there while I was testing for 10 hours & drive all 12 hours again back to Utah. I would have really been beside myself if Liz wasnt there. [THANKYOU SWEETHEART]

  

Visited Lake Powell on the way back & made future camping trips - We will go back for the Dam Tour (:

Being in Arizona I was able to see my soul sister & best friend Eliza Jane -- Cant tell you how much I have missed her beautiful face! && Of course as the hostest with the mostest she entertained Liz & I (: Love you Liza so so much - so honored to be called Bliza (:

I have applied for Tucson Police Department, hopefully I will be invited back to test (: in the mean time I am just going to be training as hard as I possibly can so I can do my best & learn more.

Also in the last month working at a new job and applying for different departments has been stressful to say the least. I miss dispatching hopefully I can go back part time - but I know that I am moving in the right direction towards my dreams being able to focus on things I have personally put aside for far too long. That being said I have had the opportunity to go on ride a longs.. & oh my gosh I honestly can say again & again, I know with all my heart this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I love every minute of it. I crave it & its honestly in my blood & apart of me. I have never felt so much happiness in my life - its honestly amazing to be able to see what makes you truly happy. I have learned so much about my self its crazy. I am so excited for what is to come next (: I cant wait to be a police officer - & I know I seriously need to find some patience somewhere inside of me-I know my time will come.
